Join us for a day of slowing down … Women coming together to craft, create, share stories and become present and grounded with themselves… Awakening the creative soul.

At this workshop the amazing Sarah Dowling from Wild Ochre Pottery will guide you step by step to create your own beautiful piece.

You will experience the mindful practice of hand building clay, spending the first part of the morning relaxing and using your hands to design a stunning hand built clay vessel and saucer. Hand building is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools. 

After lunch we will meet on the back deck and create a delightful hanging Macramé holder to provide a gorgeous home for your pottery piece. You will have the choice of knotting with a natural 100% Australian cotton macramé rope, grown, milled and manufactured entirely in Australia. A beautiful and ethical choice of textile to add to your home décor.

Or alternatively a warm toned polished hemp to bring a natural, earthy element to your space.

Your will have the choice between a milky white and an earthy green glaze for your pieces. 

Your pieces will be fired and ready for collection in 4 weeks.

A light vegetarian lunch, selection of herbal tea’s and espresso coffee will be supplied throughout the workshop. This workshop is 6 hours in duration.

Cost is $240 per person.All the materials for this class will be provided.
